EDA ASLAN
Eda Aslan (d. 1993, İstanbul) Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi heykel bölümünden 2017 yılında mezun oldu. Aynı üniversitenin resim bölümünde yüksek lisans eğitimine devam etmektedir. Aslan’ın üretimleri tarih, mekan, hafıza bağlamları ekseninde şekillenmektedir ve kaydetme temelli obsesyon hali üretimlerinin merkezinde yer almaktadır. Aslan’ın üretimleri Genç Yeni Farklı 10: Devam Etmek Gerek, Zilberman Gallery (2019, İstanbul), Nesnelerin Gizli Yaşamı (2019, Evliyagil Dolapdere, İstanbul), Alacakaranlık Anıları (2019, Krank Art Gallery, İstanbul), 4. Mardin Bienali (2018, Mardin), Red Bull Art Around (2018, İstanbul), Ardında Bıraktığın (2017, Kasa Galeri, İstanbul) dahil olmak üzere çok sayıda farklı platformda yer almıştır. Ayrıca, Siemens Sınırlar Yörüngeler 18 başarı ödülünü kazanan sanatçı (2017, DEPO, İstanbul), Genç Yeni Farklı VII (2016, Zilberman Gallery, İstanbul), Mamut Art Project (2017, KüçükÇiftlik Park, İstanbul), Base (2017, Galata Rum Okulu, İstanbul) gibi çok sayıda yarışma sergisinde de yer almıştır. Mimar Dilşad Aladağ ile birlikte yürüttükleri “Unutma Bahçesi” adlı proje ise 2018 yılında Salt Araştırma Fonları ve 2019 yılında Kültür Bakanlığı Belgesel Destek Fonu’nu kazanmıştır. Eda Aslan 2020 Ekim-Aralık döneminde İksv tarafından Paris Cité des Arts Programına seçilmiştir. Sanatçı İstanbul’da yaşamakta ve üretimlerini sürdürmektedir.
Eda Aslan (b. 1993, Istanbul) studied sculpture at Marmara University’s Fine Arts Faculty and graduated in 2017. Currently, she is continuing her graduate studies in the Department of Painting of the same university. Aslan’s production is shaped around the axis of history, space and memory, and situated on a mode of production driven by an obsession of recording. Aslan’s works were shown on various platforms including The Clandestine Life of Objects (2019, Evliyagil Dolapdere, Istanbul), Recollections of Twilight (2019, Krank Art Gallery, Istanbul), 4th Mardin Biennial (2018, Mardin, Turkey), Red Bull Art Around (2018, Istanbul), You Left Behind (2017, Kasa Galeri, Istanbul). The artists who won the Siemens Borders Orbits 18 prize (2017, DEPO, Istanbul), was selected for and exhibited as part of many competitions like Young Fresh Different VII (2016, Zilberman Gallery, Istanbul), Mamut Art Project (2017, KüçükÇiftlik Park, Istanbul), Base (2017, Galata Greek Primary School, Istanbul). The project “The garden of (not) Forgetting” she has been running together with architect Dilşad Aladağ was granted with SALT Research Funds in 2018 and Ministry of Culture Documentary Support Fund in 2019. Aslan lives and works in Istanbul.
